The end of analog cable TV from Cablevision
Cablevision in New Jersey ended their analog cable TV service in late August 2012. Since then, most of the channels are still transmitting a picture, but the programming has been replaced by a message telling you to get a digital cable box or use a digital-cable-compatible TV. Now the only analog TV left in my area is from WNYZ-LP on channel 6 in New York City, an analog LPTV station which acts as an FM radio station, using their audio signal on 87.75 MHz.
