Irish Analogue Switch Off 24 Oct 2012
The Republic of Ireland's Analogue Switch Off happened at 10.00am on 24th October 2012, after Northern Ireland's Digital Switch Over the night before. The Philips widescreen television carried RTÉ One on Channel 29 from Three Rock. All copyright belongs to the respective broadcasters and is uploaded for information and historical interest only. The Teletone black and white portable carried RTÉ Two on Channel H (Band III) from Kippure. This had been Ireland's first 625 line transmitter carrying Telefís Éireann in 1962. The Casio handheld television carried TV3 from Channel 62, Kippure. The Matsui Colour portable carried TG4 from Channel 59, Kippure.
