In today's video, I'm reflecting on the life I thought I would have at 30 versus the life I actually have today. Like many of us, I had a picture in my mind of how my future would unfold. Some things happened exactly as I expected—but many of the most meaningful, challenging, and life-changing moments were things I never could have planned. We'll talk about expectations, surprises, disappointments, blessings, and what I've learned from a life that didn't follow the script I originally wrote. Looking back, I've realized that some of the best parts of my story came from the chapters I never saw coming. A little about me: I'm a 63-year-old teacher, mom of six amazing children (four through adoption), divorced, and living with Psoriatic Arthritis while navigating weight struggles and all the unexpected realities that life can bring. Through it all, I've learned that a life that looks different than planned can still be beautiful, meaningful, and full of purpose.
