Pocket Ship project. Time-lapse cockpit seat back compartments

Pocket Ship project. Time-lapse cockpit seat back compartments KBYC Season 02 - episode 18 There are two, cut-out, storage compartments in the cockpit seat backs. Indispensable for storing mooring lines & other bits of gear. Plywood flanges for the openings are cut out first & used as patterns for cutting the openings in the seat backs. Everything needs to be coated in epoxy & held in place with heavy weights until cured. Reinforcements are added to the frame where the spinnaker sheet blocks will be fastened & also near the stern between stringers to provide a sturdy mount for a mooring cleat. Bendy conduit linking the locker compartments to below deck is installed in the compartments that will be sealed, just forward of the lockers, to allow for future access and easy threading of electronics. Careful thought has gone into the placement of these holes in case of a capsize, or waves sloshing over the deck. music: age out by: #mobygratis
