A Major Loss It's a summer evening at Cardiff airport and the weather couldn't be better but despite the pleasant weather conditions the announcement of a major withdrawal of one of the most important airlines at the airport is putting a dampener on the day. Ground crews are pushing hard to get all aircraft out on time but the bad news will undoubtedly also be on their minds as it could have unforeseen consequences or even layoffs in the future. Each season of the series will play out 1 year with season 1 portraying the year 2003 at the airport. Cardiff is a fictional series that will feature made up but also inspired by real life events from the respective time period. The air traffic displayed is picked to fit the time period but for entertainment purposes there are some historical inaccuracies throughout the series.
