When Something's Important to You... || Blackberries & Field Corn || July 2026

Today we're out in the blackberry patch gathering enough berries for a batch of homemade blackberry jelly before the season slips away. Back in the kitchen, Meagan puts those berries to good use, making one of our favorite summertime treats. Meanwhile, Andy is out in the field trying something different to cultivate our field corn. Farming has a way of making you think on your feet, and sometimes the best solutions aren't the ones you planned from the start. Thank you for spending part of your day here with our family. We hope these simple moments from our Appalachian homestead encourage you to slow down and enjoy the work that's right in front of you. If you enjoy old-fashioned cooking, gardening, canning, farming, and homestead life, we'd love to have you subscribe and join us for the next adventure. Thanks so much for watching!❤️ #homestead #blackberryjelly #canning #gardening #fieldcorn #farmlife #countryliving #appalachian #truegritappalachianways
