Foden S39. Part 7 the road test.

The concluding episode, showing the first road test after a full restoration that has taken over 3,000 man hours to complete. This 1973 Foden S39, 8 wheeler tipper is fitted with the Leyland 0.680 diesel engine option, the gearbox is Foden's own 12 speed triple range type, the final drive bogie is also a Foden designed double worm and wheel with no 3rd differential. At the end of the video is a demonstration of how the tipper works.
