THE PRICE OF SIN IS THE CROSS, THE CROSS THE PRICE OF SIN | The Price Was Paid In Full | John 19:30 | PRAISE WORSHIP "He who knew no sin, was made to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in him." — 2 Corinthians 5:21 One question that changes everything: Why did God allow His Son to die? It was not an accident. It was not a failure of God. It was not something God was forced to accept. It was His PLAN. His love. His choice. Since Adam fell, there was a debt. A debt that no man could ever pay. The blood of animals was shed every year — but it could only COVER sin. It had no power to take it away. Hebrews 10:4. God required a full payment. An eternal payment. A payment that would be calculated according to the weight of the sin of the whole world. No human being was worthy to pay. No angel could pay. Only the Son — could. And here is where love is amazing: John 10:18 — "No one takes my life from me. I lay it down of my own accord." Jesus did not go to the cross because he was forced to. He chose to go. Because His love demanded that the price of your sin be paid in full. And on the cross — the greatest events in history took place: He who knew no sin — became sin for us. He who was perfect righteousness — took our condemnation. He who was life — tasted death for us. That we who were sin — might become the righteousness of God in Him. We who were condemned — might be completely free. We who were death — might have eternal life. This is not our work. This is not our effort. This is not our merit. It is a gift. A gift from God — through the cross of His Son. Ephesians 2:8-9. And the veil of the temple — thick, thick, and unruffled by human hands — was rent — from TOP to BOTTOM. God Himself opened the way. Not man. God. Saying — "The way is now open. Come in. The blood of My Son has given you the right to enter." Hebrews 10:19-22. And the second Adam — Jesus Christ — did what the first Adam could not. The first Adam — of the flesh — brought us death. The second Adam — of the Spirit — has brought us back to the Father. 1 Corinthians 15:45. And on the cross — when He said just one word: "It is finished." In Greek — Tetelestai. The word used when a debt is paid in full — STAMPED: PAID IN FULL. Your debt — is paid. Your sin — is removed. Your judgment — is taken away. The way back — is opened. Come home. The Father is waiting for you. This song is not just about rejoicing. It is a song of recognition. Realizing that — you did not deserve any of this. You did nothing to deserve this. But the one who loved — chooses to pay the price — that you cannot pay — because he loves you.
