Tras las huellas de Buda y Séneca; en busca de la PAZ INTERIOR - Ramiro Calle

Both Siddhartha Gautama, known as "the Buddha," and Seneca lived in very different times and contexts. We could say that both represent a very important part of what we call "perennial wisdom." In this interview, we will delve deeper and discover who were, first, "the Buddha": an Indian prince who lived in the Ganges Valley some 2,500 years ago and set out in pursuit of wisdom, and second, Seneca: a Roman Stoic philosopher, politician, orator, and writer who lived between 4 BC and 65 AD. Through Ramiro Calle's background and experience, we will delve into the historical and cultural context of these two figures, learn about their core teachings, address the similarities and differences between Buddhism and Stoicism, and discuss the practices proposed by both the Buddha and Seneca on the path to inner peace. Ramiro Calle is a yoga teacher and writer, a pioneer in introducing this ancient discipline to Spain. He has written more than 250 books on a variety of topics, mostly about orientalism, spirituality, and meditation, as well as novels, short story collections, and travel guides. Since 1971, he has directed the Shadak Yoga Center in Madrid.
