Transperth A-series train (14): Fremantle to Grant Street (Perth train)

Recorded on November 27, 2022 Transperth's A-series train represents something of an in-between generation between the Queensland Rail EMU and SMU 200s, featuring the propulsion of the former coupled with an exterior that would eventually form the basis of both the SMU 200s and 220s later on. Compared to those, A-series trains feature more advanced passenger information displays and a seating more amenable to standing crush loads. Much like the EMUs, the A-series may well be retired soon thanks to the up and coming C-series, breaking the trend of Transperth train sets having clear Queensland Rail parallels.
