Hello to all metal detecting enthusiasts! Today, I'm taking you on a very special outing to Tongeren, the oldest city in Belgium. For this expedition, I had the opportunity to join the Flemish group Metaalstrijd, which collaborates closely with archaeologists. An incredible experience with my friend Phoenix Détection! 🚗 On the agenda: a 2-hour drive to explore this land steeped in history. We were hoping for Roman artifacts, but the ground held some surprises for us. 🔍 My finds of the day: Two fragments of ancient buckles (including a large belt buckle). A 25-centime coin of Albert I (1915), Occupation type. A small ancient button. A 200-year-old spoon fragment, identified by the group's archaeologists. A 20-centime "Miner's Head" coin from 1959. A 5-centime Albert I coin with a hole. ✨ THE GEM: A magnificent silver pendant with a heart on each side!
