Summit camping with a first timer, did they enjoy it?

Join me on another outdoors adventure, this time with someone who had never camped on a summit before. Recently on my channel I've talked about taking people who want to try wildcamping on a "wildcamping experience" where along the way I offer advice and share my tips and tricks to make it more enjoyable. Dunny    / @dunnstir   is a fellow youtuber, who has camped at sites and at very low level before, but never on a summit, or even been up a mountain since his teenage years. He contacted me and requested that I join him on a wildcamp so he could benefit from my experience, your wish is my command buddy! I got him to send over his kit list, emergency contact numbers, and a general overview of his health, and between us we came up with a route to give him the best possible first summit camp. Steep to start with to test him physically and mentally (but not put him off) where he did struggle, but with words of encouragement, and distraction techniques from me we broke the back of the first ascent, and the going eased somewhat. Before he knew it we were tapping the first summit of the day, and despite struggling at the start I could see the joy on his face, he couldn't quite believe it! From here Dunny's confidence grew in leaps and bounds, he couldn't quite believe how I was able to predict things before they were happening, but he listened and absorbed information like a sponge. The wind was really picking up now, and on hitting Wainwright number 2 of the day it was very strong, we took in fantastic views down the valley, and a cracking shot of Blencathra behind us, with the polished sharp edge glinting in the sun. I made the wise decision to drop down from the summit slightly to get out of the worst of the wind, and found a cracking little pitch, but it was too early to set up, so we did my favourite thing, and just sat and talked whilst taking in the views. When it was time to set up the tents I offered advice on how to place his to be most effective in the wind, and we both enjoy an evening meal before hitting the hay. We were both up early, had breakfast and got packed up before sunrise, which was a lovely deep red and crimson, fantastic for him to see on a wildcamp experience 😀 as we headed back to the cars, we chatted about the previous day, and had a recap in the car, did he enjoy it? watch to find out! In this video I use the BT meter BT-5000D anemometer, which was brilliant, letting me know just what speeds the winds got up to, heres a link for you to check out..... https://api.wotohub.com/user/productC...
