Orlando Bloom on BRUTAL Weight Loss for ’The Cut’: ‘I Was a Lot to Be Around’ (Exclusive)

Orlando Bloom and John Turturro talk to “Extra’s” Terri Seymour about “The Cut,” in which Orlando plays a boxer who comes out of retirement to vie for a championship and undergoes a grueling weight-cutting program. Turturro plays his trainer in the intense psychological thriller. Orlando spoke about having to drastically drop weight before filming, sharing that it was “brutal” and that he was lying on the floor between takes and “a lot to be around." He then had to stuff himself to re-gain weight during filming, which was also unpleasant — Orlando joked there was almost “no acting required” on the project! John recalled feeling concerned about Orlando at first and whether he could sustain the physical demands. Plus, Orlando has said he’d be up for a “Pirates” reboot if everyone was on board, but he confessed he knows nothing! “The Cut” is out September 5.
