Nermin and her family are experiencing great tension in the process of their daughter Elçin's marriage to Murat. Murat's family is trying to avoid paying for the wedding expenses and household goods, citing their financial situation. Although Nermin wants her daughter's happiness, she is disturbed by the attitude of the groom's family and constantly makes new demands. Elçin, on the other hand, is willing to make any sacrifice to marry Murat, whom she loves, but her mother's domineering attitude deeply upsets her. As Murat and his family struggle to meet Nermin's demands, the distrust between the two families increases day by day. The wedding postponement, the marriage proposal, and the gold chain crisis have further strained the relationship. Elçin is overwhelmed by her mother's controlling behavior and is emotionally exhausted. Murat, fearing losing the woman he loves, desperately seeks a solution. Finally, Elçin, unable to withstand her mother's pressure, tells Murat that she wants to break up, and their relationship is damaged. The play painfully reveals how financial difficulties and family pressures can destroy love.
