On the Mühldorf – Munich line, we commissioned the new signal boxes in Hörlkofen and Thann-Matzbach in December 2025, replacing Germany's oldest mechanical signal box. In our video, the project team takes you along on the journey, showing you everything that needs to happen for a successful commissioning. The new signal boxes are a key component of a modern rail infrastructure in southeastern Bavaria. They form the basis for digital rail operations and ensure greater operational stability and punctuality on this heavily used line.
