Battling Snow, Wind and Freezing Temperatures 🥶 - Solo Wild Camp in the Lake District

Solo winter wild camping in the Lake District in my Hilleberg Soulo. Battling Snow and Freezing Temperatures in the Lake District. I made it back to the Lake District this week, this time with a much firmer grip on my phone 🤦🏻‍♂️😁. The plan was simple: return to Coledale and finish what I started. But the mountains had other ideas. I arrived to full winter conditions, battling knee-deep snow, a heavy winter backpack, and biting winds at over 2,500ft in -5°C temperatures. It was a tough climb, but the reward was worth every step — waking up to a glowing sunrise and breathtaking winter mountain views. On the return journey, I managed to bag two more Wainwrights, bringing me to 181/214. A wonderful winter hike and wild camp in the stunning Lake District. An 11 mile hike with 3500ft of ascent.
