Day 8 of Being Unemployed | Reconnecting, Resetting & Refreshing Today marks my eighth day of being unemployed, and I’m learning that this season isn’t just about job searching — it’s about reconnecting and rediscovering myself. I spent meaningful time with my sister, and we connected in a way we never have before. Those conversations reminded me how important family truly is. I also handled my taxes (because growth includes responsibility!), and I made sure to step outside of the house, put on some makeup, get dressed, and feel refreshed. Sometimes just getting up, getting ready, and seeing yourself differently can shift your whole mindset. This journey isn’t easy, but it’s teaching me balance — rest, responsibility, family, and self-care all at once.
