Is the Rivian R2 Going to Have the Same Battery Problem as Tesla?

LG is also the company supplying battery cells for the upcoming Rivian R2 — including the one I have on deposit. So I had to find out: is the Rivian R2 going to face the same problem? In this video I walk through four pieces of evidence: the Rivian-LG Energy Solution supply deal, the specifics of what EV Clinic actually found, Rivian's R1 battery track record, and what we know about the R2 pack itself. Each one with the analysis attached. The honest answer: the differences are real and meaningful — different LG plant (Arizona, not Nanjing), different cell format (4695, not 2170), different specific chemistry (NCA per the EPA filing, not NCM811). But there are legitimate concerns to flag too. For now, I'm not cancelling my deposit.
