SKEETER DAVIS: ROCK-OLA 468

Skeeter didn't record these records until she was in her thirties, in '63 and '64, but she still sounded like a teenager. I've recently acquired "Gonna Get Along Without You Now" She was never particularly well known in the UK. They would have heard the version by Teresa Brewer, but I doubt if many Brits would even now, know this one. You'll notice that the stylus sets down a little beyond the track in grooves. The length of these sometimes vary between the many different manufacturers. It's an easy fix on a jukebox to change the set down location. But if I did it, I'd have to check the other seventy-nine records in case there's one that the stylus then doesn't set down far enough in, which is a bigger problem, so I'll live with it. I've had "I Can't Stay Mad At You," for some time.
