Double P pickups vs. Jazz pickups - Sonic comparison - Short scale basses Warmoth, Fender, Atelier Z

In this unsponsored video, we will be comparing the tones from a double P pickup configuration with that of a jazz bass. The comparisons basses are a new custom Warmoth short scale bass (double reverse P, reverse headstock, Tonerider 'The Duke' pickups), Fender Junior Jazz bass short scale (stock pickups) and Atelier Z Ken Ken signature short scale J bass (stock pickups). *The tonal differences are most likely due to the P pickups being humcancelling while the Jazz pickups being single coils. When combined and run together, there are frequencies cancelled, resulting in a different tonal outcome.* Warmoth strung with D'Addario XL nickel roundwounds 100-45. Fender Junior jazz strung with Fender nickel roundwounds 100-45, stock pickups. Atelier Z strung with D'Addario XL nickel roundwounds 100-45, stock pickups. All basses were recorded direct through a Line6 Pod Go with the identical settings. *Level matched, but no EQ or compression was added in post.
