Warmoth Short Scale Bass Build Ep.5: Tonerider The Duke P pickups Sound Demo and Review

In this unsponsored series, I am building a custom Warmoth short scale bass featuring a double reverse P pickup configuration and a reverse headstock! *The reverse headstock's purpose is not so much for looks, but rather, to allow for full scale bass strings to be used, most relevant for the low E string. Most full scale string-wound-lengths are around 37 to 37.5" (ball to first taper or silk start). The length between the E string tuner and the bridge end plate on this is bass measures 38.75", so most full scale E strings should fit without issue! The length between the A string tuner and the bridge end plate on this bass measures 37", which makes it a bit tighter - but I think this might be less of an issue with the smaller gauge A string. Please see previous episodes for more details on the bass specs, why I chose them and the stain, finishing, shielding and assembly process! The bass was recorded direct through a Line6 Pod Go with my usual GK800RB model settings. Level matched, but no EQ or compression was used in post.
