A few scattered showers and storms pushed across the northern half of the state overnight, clipping Lauderdale, Chambers, Talladega, and St. Clair counties. The good news is that these are moving out and will not stick around like yesterday. The stationary front that fired everything up yesterday moves out of our hair today. Highs settle in the 90s with heat index values in the triple digits this afternoon. To start the work week, a large ridge builds in from the west and increases temperatures. Heat Advisories are already up for Lauderdale and Colbert counties through Sunday evening, and expect more of the state to be added. Highs push into the upper 90s Monday, with Mobile flirting with 100 and feels-like values in the triple digits.
