Fog stretched across the north-central portions of the state this morning, where light winds and dewpoints in the low 70s matching temperatures served up the perfect recipe for dense fog. A stationary boundary keeps a greater storm chance across the northern half of Alabama today. Isolated to scattered pop-up storms could drop a quick half inch where they hit. The southern half, especially the SW corner and the beaches, stays hot, dry, and beautiful. Sunday, that front finally gets out of our hair with a few scattered storm chances remaining. After that, a big ridge builds in from the west.
