Some fitness exercises are good, and some are better left out. It's often difficult for beginners to distinguish good from bad exercises because they don't know the anatomy or biomechanics. They simply copy what other people at the gym are doing and hope it's right. Even with home workouts, unnecessary movements often creep in, and the training plan doesn't lead to optimal muscle building.
