The Peñol Rock is famous throughout Colombia for being one of the country's biggest tourist attractions. And it's no wonder. The Peñol Rock is one of the tallest rocks in the world, a 220-meter-high monolith that can be climbed; you just have to climb 708 steps to the top. For many, Guatapé is the most beautiful town in all of Colombia, and even in all of Latin America. So we traveled to Antioquia and took a bus from Medellín to Guatapé. We even stayed in Guatapé to see this town by day and by night. We climbed the Peñol de Guatapé, strolled through its colorful streets, sailed on the reservoir, and even had a final surprise in this town...
