PORK BELLY CROCANTE EN AIR FRYER

Crispy Air Fry Pork Belly Pork belly, or pork belly as it's popularly known, is a highly sought-after cut for grillers. It's a staple in smoked meats and Asian cuisine. It's basically the same cut used for bacon, but today I'm going to make a much quicker, flavorful, and incredibly crispy preparation—in the air fryer! STEP BY STEP I have a 1 kg piece, so the first thing to do is cut the pork belly in half, as half is enough for me… Using the tip of a sharp knife, gently pierce the skin without cutting into the meat. This will help it dehydrate while we prepare the rub. To prepare the rub, we will use: 3 tbsp brown sugar 1 tbsp Himalayan pink salt 1/2 tbsp ground black pepper 1 tbsp paprika 1 tbsp garlic powder. Mix everything until well combined, and your rub is ready. Now, make cube-shaped cuts on the meat side of the pork belly, being careful not to cut through the skin. Once this is done, spread the rub on the cut side, making sure to apply enough rub, even inside the cuts. Don't forget to rub the edges as well. Place the pork belly skin-side up on a sheet of aluminum foil, with the rubbed side down. Wrap the foil tightly around the pork belly to form a box without a lid. Now, brush the skin of the pork belly with vinegar, place it on the grill, and put it in the air fryer at 200°F for 30 minutes to complete the first part of the cooking process. While the heat is doing its work, we'll take advantage of the time and prepare the Sriracha and Honey sauce that we'll use to accompany this pork belly. The recipe is super simple: fresh rosemary to taste, and for every part sriracha, two parts honey. Mix well, and our sriracha and honey sauce is ready. After the 30 minutes, remove the pork belly from the air fryer, brush the skin with olive oil, add a pinch of salt, and brush it again with olive oil. Return it to the air fryer to finish cooking for another 30 minutes at 400°F. I guarantee your taste buds will explode with flavor from this recipe, and don't even get me started on how delicious the crispy skin of this air-fried pork belly will be—simply killer!
