Optoma PK101 DLP Pico Projector Bad DMD / Teardown

I picked up this old Pico projector on EBay to see what makes it go. The DMD was shot, full of stuck pixels and a burned in Optoma logo. The resolution on this unit is only 480x320 with a whopping 11 Lumens! It only takes a composite input via the 2.5mm RCA cable. Powered either via the USB mini plug or the 11mah battery. I think it supports a built in battery going by the plug but maybe its for another model? Replacing the DMD was not a viable option. I found one for $60 but this thing is useless as a projector. I tried to show the LED's flickering but my camera either can't sync up on it, they flicker too fast or its actually broken which is possible. Either way, I take it all the way down and we see it running without its shell. I used to own a PK301 that was honestly not that bad. I would own one again. The PK101 however is almost entirely useless, until you compare it to a flashlight projector... ;) Thanks for watching!
