Optoma GT1080 Darbee DLP Projector Color Wheel Replacement

I had someone send in their Optoma GT1080 Darbee with a lamp error and making a horrendous noise. The index mark had fallen off the wheel and the rest showed evidence of running too hot. It looks like there had been dust inside at one point which is very common for many projectors. I verified the color wheel issue with replacing the index mark and then I actually had a used/good wheel to try to be 100% sure. Once I talked to the owner, I purchased a new color wheel, which I installed about a week later. Thankfully due to the magic of video, you get to see it all at once. The only other thing I found was that the lamp assembly was using a known "not good" lamp inside. I re-used the housing with a good Osram bare lamp. https://www.purelandsupply.com/optoma...
