Testing alcohol stoves has been something I've been interested in for a while now. I checked how the iconic Swedish Trangia performed, as well as a homemade stove and a new product from Poland – the Piran Spirit burner from @piranoutdoor. During the tests, which took me several long evenings in the basement, I analyzed various rack options and two sizes of cookware – 700 ml and 1300 ml. The diameters varied significantly, which significantly influenced the results. Thanks to a thermal imaging camera, I was able to precisely analyze how the heat was distributed, which yielded interesting results.
