The first solid snowfall of the year and the perfect moment for a full-fledged winter camping trip. I set off on a nearly 30-kilometer hike through the Jedlina Nature Reserve, the Pogorzel Bagno Nature Reserve, and the picturesque Łańcuchowe Mountains, where a snowstorm created a truly fairytale atmosphere. I spent the night under a tarp in a bivi, surrounded by fresh powder and complete silence. I treated this trip as a complete test – from the equipment, through the comfort of camping in the snow, to seeing how a full-day Polish military ration would cope as my only source of food. I also encountered a number of animals along the way, which only added to the atmosphere.
