COMMON RECOVERY MISTAKE! (and how not to make it)

Well, these pilots are doing some things right: they're doing their best to catch giant surges and shoots... But then they are cascading into big, messy events. Loosing tons of altitude, throwing reserves and having big crashes. What are they missing??? The are missing PUTTING THEIR HANDS BACK UP! When the glider stops progressing towards the horizon, you gotta go hands up. Otherwise, you stall violently and induce a massive confusion into yourself, followed by god-knows-what.
