Businesses on 125th Street in Harlem shutdown in Honor of Malcom X's Birthday
This march which is organized every year on Malcom X’s Birthday by the organization "The December 12th movement" amongst other black liberation/ community organizations to honor Malcom X, who’s birthday is may 19th. The Purpose of this march is to Honor Malcom X’s legacy in Harlem, show black political and economic solidarity, protest gentrification and outside corporate control of Harlem, and create what organizers call A “commercial moment of silence”
