Designing a Small Signal Amplifier

This video shows the steps in designing a single stage NPN small-signal amplifier with no load attached. The term "small-signal amplifier" implies that it is primarily a voltage amplifier not a current amplifier. Typically an audio amplifier incorporates several small-signal amplifier stages for voltage amplification and then a final power amplifier stage to amplify the current so as to drive a speaker. The calculator emulator used is for the HP48GX. It is an RPN type of calculator. There are phone emulators for this calculator as well.
