42-Metre CFA Piling Rig Mobilisation | Complete Assembly | Sturry Link Road Documentary

One of the biggest milestones on the Sturry Link Road project so far. This video documents the complete mobilisation and assembly of a 42-metre CFA piling rig, filmed over several days as heavy haulage vehicles arrived with different sections of the rig before it was gradually assembled and the mast was raised into position by crane. From the first artic arriving on site to the moment the rig stood fully upright, this video captures the scale of the operation, the precision involved and the steady progress taking place on the south abutment. This forms part of my ongoing documentary series following the construction of the Sturry Link Road from the earliest enabling works through to completion. Using regular drone and ground-based footage, the series provides a neutral, chronological record of one of Kent's largest infrastructure projects.
