Hello, Hugs 😊 Lately, I've been into hiking and my husband has been into mountain biking, so we're working out very hard(?). We had a colonoscopy appointment scheduled last week, so the video upload was delayed by a week 😅 Because of that, we naturally ended up talking about U.S. health insurance, medication costs, and hospital bills. Actually, since insurance covered most of the costs until now, the saying *“Going bankrupt from hospital bills in the U.S.”* didn't really resonate with me. However, when I went to refill the eye drops I have to use for the rest of my life due to glaucoma, I was shocked to hear that the insurance no longer covers it and the cost of the medication exceeds $1,000. If this is just for eye drops for me... the cost of larger treatments is truly terrifying. I think it's hard to truly grasp the reality of U.S. medical costs until you experience it firsthand. In this video, we've captured a day in our ordinary yet realistic daily lives as a couple, covering exercise, U.S. hospital bills, and even the preparation and examination process for a colonoscopy.
