T&C Surf Designs: Wood & Water Rage (NES) — Still Cool?

For a lot of us who grew up in the '80s, T&C Surf Designs was one of those brands you wanted but could never quite reach — the shirts, the stickers, Da Boys. That whole world felt like it was happening somewhere more interesting than your neighborhood. In 1988, the closest most of us got was this cartridge. This is a full revisit of T&C Surf Designs: Wood & Water Rage for the NES — the brand history, how it ended up on a Nintendo cartridge, both game modes, and a tribute to Steve Nazar, the artist behind Da Boys, who passed away in March 2025. I was too quick to dismiss this one in an earlier video. Wanted to give it a fairer look. T&C is still alive at tcsurf.com. And if you want to find Nazar's original Da Boys characters, the Thrilla Krew at thrillakrewgear.com is keeping that legacy going.
