President Mahama cuts sod for Juapong’s state-of-the-art 24-Hour Economy Market

President John Dramani Mahama has cut the sod for the construction of a state-of-the-art 24-Hour Economy Model Market in Juapong, North Tongu District, Volta Region. The flagship project is a key part of government’s 24-Hour Economy agenda. The modern market is expected to boost local commerce, create thousands of jobs, and provide safe, well-equipped facilities for traders, farmers, and businesses. It will feature 24-hour lighting, storage facilities, ICT centres, sanitation infrastructure, and dedicated spaces for agro-processing. Speaking at the ceremony, President Mahama said the market will transform Juapong into a commercial hub, improve livelihoods, and make it easier for goods from the Volta Region to reach national and regional markets.
