Moving To Japan From the UK | Weekly Vlog | Tanabata🎋 Missing Concerts, Summer Festivals

I did something really silly this week! 😫 About three months ago, I bought some tickets for a concert and completely forgot about it! I felt so embarrassed about the whole thing and, after hearing my drumming colleagues speaking about how brilliant the show was, I really felt like we missed out. Hopefully, we will get another opportunity to see the group. 🤞🎶 When we came to Japan, we decided to keep our flat just in case things didn't work out for us here, but now our mortgage is soon going to expire and renewing it is proving to be a lot more difficult and expensive than I thought it would be. We have to find a new mortgage provider because our current lender doesn't offer mortgages for people who live in Japan. Although we have found a provider, the mortgage broker fees are really high, so I have contacted a friend who is helping us to arrange our mortgage. I just need to be patient! 🤞 I feel like I can't spend much until the mortgage is secured because they do check our savings. My daughter had a negative comment made towards her and she felt sad about it. 💕 I went to the nursery to speak to the teacher and it is all sorted out now, but it has made me reflect on myself as a mother and how strong I need to be. Most of the buildings in Japan seem to be built really quickly, so it feels like it is taking such a long time for the building that I am so curious about to be completed! 🏗️ I had a really nice peach drink 🍑 and an Earl Grey cheesecake 🍰 from Starbucks. My daughter has said for a long time that she would like to have a haircut. I think she wanted a fringe like all of her friends at nursery, so I took her to the hairdresser in #DonQuijote. 💇‍♀️ She is a very happy girl now! At the moment, my daughter's favourite restaurant is Hama Sushi 🍣, so we do find ourselves going there quite a lot, although I am keen to explore more local restaurants. We went to the Shinmachi Tanabata Festival 🎋, but because the weather was bad, they put the decorations away early. Next year, I will try to go on Saturday.
