First you see how I cut blanks from a 200x100x400mm sleeper offcut, then you see the bowls, handles, and vases I turned from the blanks. Finally you see the largest of the blanks turned, then emerge steaming hot from the microwave oven. The timber came to me as hardwood: it’s probably a eucalypt.
