Grossvenediger, 3.666m, Hochtour Hohe Tauern via Kürsinger Hütte 4K

The Großvenediger is one of the highest mountains in Austria. It is located in the Hohe Tauern mountain range in the Venediger Group. I start my tour at the Hopffeldboden parking lot near Neukirchen in the Obersulzbachtal valley. There is a parking fee. From there, I climb up to the Kürsinger Hütte cable car and continue to the hut. An overnight stay is a good start after the long ascent. In the morning, at 5 a.m., I head to the Obersulzbach Glacier, past the Kleknvenediger, up to the Venedigerschart, and finally to the summit of the Großvenediger at 3,666 m. The ascent from the hut takes approximately 5 hours, and the descent is 3 hours.
