The Neue Prager Hütte, just under 2800m above sea level, is located in Innergschlöß and offers a beautiful mountain tour with views of the glacier world of the Venediger Group in the Hohe Tauern/East Tyrol. The tour is strenuous but eventful, so make sure you are sure-footed and in good physical condition! Experience an impressive high mountain tour in the heart of the Hohe Tauern to the Großvenediger (3657 m)! The starting point is picturesque Innergschlöß, one of the most beautiful Tauern valleys in East Tyrol. Passing old alpine farms, the historic Tauernhaus and the impressive Felskapelle chapel, the trail leads past the Venedigerhaus up to the traditional Alte Prager Hütte hut and on to the Neue Prager Hütte hut at an altitude of almost 2800 m. From here, a breathtaking panorama opens up to the Großvenediger, Schwarze Wand, Hochgall, Kristallwand, Kleiner Venediger, and all the way to the Großglockner. The view back to the significantly shrunk glacier tongue of the Schlatenkees impressively shows the change in the Alpine landscape.
