Checking capacitors for leakage in a very simple way without special tools

@00.00-03.45 = First part of the video is me explaining why capacitor leakage is so bad. @03.45 = Second part I show you how to do it. You can easily check old capacitors for electrical leakage using 2 voltmeters with a high impedance input, and a high voltage power supply (preferrably around 400V DC. I use around 350V in the video, that works as well.) A clear explanation of how to do it is included. No special tools needed. You do not even need a variac, you could just plug a rectifier straight into your wall outlet, if you put some kind of current limiter in series, preferrably a lightbulb, maybe 10W minimum. Just beware that the circuit is at mains potential at all times when live, and could give you a fatal electric shock. Always be careful and avoid working tired. Have fun and stay safe!
