Symonds Yat Walking Tour: King Arthur's Cave, Yat Rock & Biblins Bridge, Wye Valley with BiTW!
An awesome group walking tour of the Symonds Yat area in the utterly stunning Wye Valley. We started from a free parking area near Saint Dubricius Church (HR9 6BZ), and made our way through Symonds Yat village and the beautiful, autumnal Lords Wood to King Arthur's Cave. This epic limestone cave, which we were lucky enough to explore, has signs of human habitation dating back to the Late Stone Age, large numbers of flint tools and Woolly Mammoth bones have be unearthed here. We then headed off to cross the slightly springy, Biblins Suspension bridge which allowed us to cross over the river Wye and join the path to Yat Rock. The Rock is the best vantage point I have seen in a long time, allowing us to look over miles of the wild River Wye and Valley. During a much needed pit stop we spotted the house that characters Otis and his mum, Asa (Gillian Anderson) lives in as seen in the Netflix hit series, S*x Education. Yet another cool stop off on this tour. The walk was between 8-10 miles and was so worth it, absolutely pact with interesting places and breathtaking scenery. Thanks to Boyz in The Wood, brothers Gav and Gez, for showing us around an area that they spent a lot of time in as children, and thank you to Foxy and Amy for joining us, as always, great company. Boyz in the Wood also filmed this walk and the camp they did that evening which is up on their channel if you are interested in seeing more please do check that out. BiTW - / @boyzinthewood1 Thank you for being here, all the best, Ceri & Kat! / teainvalhalla / teainvalhalla
