Colorado Climb to World Famous Brush Mountain Lodge - Great Divide Northbound - Bikepacking Day 24

Day 24 (June 23): Brush Mountain Lodge: Hello Paradise! We ride from Steamboat Springs to the best place on earth-Brush Mountain lodge! We have a blast riding through rolling hills, alpine flower meadows and mixed forests. The trail is beautiful and gets more rugged as we climb out of Clark. Getting to Brush Mountain Lodge is harder than we anticipate: Not because of the rugged trail, but because we meet many amazing, interesting southbound Tour Divide racers and riders and chat with them. Hearing their stories and what drives them is so much fun! When we roll into Brush Mountain Lodge we are greeted by cattle bells, cheering and clapping by the racers, riders and kind Brush Mountain Lodge team! Waters, friendly words and hugs are coming our way! Wow, what a welcome! 🙏 We immediately feel part of the community Kristen, the legendary owner of Brush Mountain Lodge has created. Kristen feeds us, washes all bikers clothes, chats and shares her experiences over the years - she has seen it all and is a true Tour Divide expert! We have a wonderful afternoon and evening with great people, good food, drinks, ice cream and one of the most restful nights in our cute cabin. .
