Firefly returns to the South Downs light railway! 16/08/2023

During the summer holidays the South Downs light railway also run on Wednesdays for the 6 week period and on Wednesday the 16th of august 2023 their were two visitors running the service trains. Following on from her first visit the the line back in March for the narrow gauge gala no7 firefly made another rare visit away from the Hastings miniature railway yet again on Wednesday the 16th of august 2023 for one day only Also in action was LNER A4 4498 ‘sir Nigel gresley’ interestingly sir Nigel gresley was a resident of the South Downs light railway from 2000 to 2003 when it was sold and moved to the Eastleigh lakeside steam railway. Apologies for the lense getting misty not sure why it did that think the weather may have caused that to happen.
