NOT ENOUGH FLYING! | Mercy Replay Review | Overwatch

Tbh, there's a lot you need to work on with Mercy. But what it boils down to (mostly) is positioning and awareness. When you are playing Mercy (honestly anybody) you need to ask yourself. Is where I'm standing safe? Can you be shot at? If it is not safe and you don't have cover, find a better spot ASAP. Too many times I just watched you stand out in the open without cover. Now in bronze you might get away with that, but the higher you climb you're going to feel really silly when that Widow or Hanzo shoots your head because you were just standing on top of cart. Awareness is well....being aware of what your team is doing and what the enemy is doing. When your teammates ulted, like Emre or Venture, not once did you fly over to them to heal / power boost them. You showed a little too much favoritism towards Ramm and very little too anyone else. Another example is when the enemy ults. Overwatch is a very audio heavy game, there are a lot of sounds and voice lines to let you know when something is happening. When you heard Sierra yell, "EYES IN THE SKY!" you kind of just stood there at times and just died to a very easy ult to get away from especially as Mercy. Utilize Mercy's movement more! Too much just being on the ground huddled right next to the tank is how you catch strays from AoE damage like Bastion's nade. A lot of Mercys like to do the "superjump" where you use GA to fly to someone and when you press jump at the end of it Mercy flies up quite a bit. Use this to avoid a lot of spam damage being tossed around maps like this but be careful of hitscan players that will shoot you out of the sky! Going a bit to my last point, you don't take advantage of Mercy's range, you can position a bit further back while you're healing or power boosting someone. Her beam even works (somewhat) around corners! Lastly, your ult usage either too early or wayyy too late. When you used your ult too early, it was still fine because you ended up getting some value out of it towards the end of your valk on 2nd point attack. HOWEVER your 3rd point attack idk what happened. You could've popped Valk at any time during the last fight and your team had a very high chance of winning. Instead, you didn't use it until you let a Rein shatter you in the face and ended up killing your team! Like I said, there's a lot to work on but my main points are positioning, awareness, and maximizing power boost time! Too much time wasted healing teamamtes that are full health or close to full health! Hope this helps, good luck on your games! I stream daily on Twitch, sometimes Overwatch 2, sometimes other stuff.
