The history of Subang is inextricably linked to a plantation company called Pamanoekan n Tjiassem Landen, also known as PnT Land. This was the name of the Subang area at the time, Pamanoekan n Tjiassem. Its area is the same as the current Subang area. Mr. Hofland, as he was known, was the figure who founded Pamanoekan n Tjiassem, or what is now Subang, and laid the foundation for the development of Subang's current city center.
