Our journey begins at sunrise on the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake, at the stunning Valley of Forgotten Rivers, before driving along what may be one of the most scenic roads in Kyrgyzstan. We spend the night in a traditional yurt camp, explore canyon viewpoints, and experience unforgettable golden-hour light across this dramatic landscape. From there, we head deeper into the mountains towards Song-Kul Lake, a remote high-altitude alpine lake surrounded by endless valleys and grazing horses. Along the way, we encounter thousands of horses, sheep, and cattle migrating down from the mountains for winter — a truly unique sight. We finish this part of our adventure with horse riding through autumn-coloured mountain valleys near Kaindy, before making the long journey back to Almaty, Kazakhstan, with a stop at the historic Burana Tower.
