Travel back in time to France just after its liberation! / D-Day Parade / Ouistreham, Normandy

This video shows the D-Day Parade held on 7 June 2025, in Ouistreham, Normandy, France. The Normandy landings, carried out by the Allied forces on 6 June 1944, marked a rapid advance towards the liberation of France from Nazi Germany. This event commemorated the 81st anniversary of those landings. The parade featured military jeeps and lorries from the 1940s, as well as classic cars, marching through the streets of Ouistreham. The parade is organised annually in June by RARE - Riva Auto Retro Estivale, an Ouistreham-based organisation dedicated to promoting automotive heritage. After the parade, the participating cars are displayed in front of the beach formerly known as "Sword Beach." It offers a glimpse into the joyous atmosphere of France at that time of liberation.
