Chicken Liver Toast | The Forgotten Goan Party Snack | Easy Starter Recipe | Maria Cooks Chicken Liver Toast is one of the most forgotten yet delicious Goan party snacks and starters. Crispy fried bread topped with a rich, flavorful chicken liver spread makes this recipe perfect for family gatherings, parties, or as a tea-time snack. Ingredients • 5 chicken livers • ½ teaspoon salt • ½ teaspoon black pepper powder • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste • 1 onion, finely chopped • 1 green chilli, finely chopped • 1 tablespoon butter • Oil, for cooking and deep frying • Bread slices Method 1. In a bowl, combine the chicken livers with the salt, black pepper, turmeric powder, and ginger-garlic paste. 2. Marinate for 15–20 minutes. 3. Heat a little oil in a pan (or chatti). 4. Add the chopped onion and green chilli. Sauté until the onion turns soft. 5. Add the marinated chicken livers and cook until fully done. Add water 6. Allow the mixture to cool completely. 7. Transfer it to a mixer jar, add the butter, and blend into a smooth paste. To Prepare the Toast 1. Trim the edges of the bread slices. 2. Cut each slice into four pieces. 3. Deep-fry until golden brown and crisp. 4. Spread the chicken liver paste over the fried bread pieces and serve immediately.
